Asmeret Bier Naugle is a system dynamics modeler with interest in a variety of modeling and assessment methods. She received her PhD from Washington State University in Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, and a certificate in National Security Affairs from Texas A&M University. She is in the Cognitive Sciences and Systems department at Sandia National Laboratories, where she focuses on simulation and analysis for national security applications. She has worked on topics such as political dynamics, migration, cyber security, and energy systems. Much of Asmeret's work at Sandia has focused on the Behavioral Influence Assessment (BIA)/DYMATICA program, which uses social, psychological, and behavioral economic modeling techniques to understand and anticipate situations of national security concern.
